So Floor and Troy are full-time members of Nightwish now.

Lemmie start with Troy; I bloody love Troy. He’s hilarious and a patriotic part of me loves that there’s a piece of Britain in Nightwish now! Think everyone is happy at this news. Just thinking how much it will affect their future music. They’re obviously going to continue going down the folky route and that worries me slightly because it might limit them. However hopefully Nightwish will strike that balance of when to use Troy and when not to use him. But then again his addition in Nemo on the new tour was nice…I don’t know, it just seems strange to me having a full-time member who’s not on stage all the time. But Troy is epic! GO TROY!

And Floor. When Floor came along she blew me away. When I saw them with her she strolled on and made it look like there had been no previous vocalists when she’d only been in the band a month and owned all the songs and made them her own. She looks so good and sounds so good with the band, it is a perfect fit! Just something I can’t put my finger on worries me. I don’t know if it’s everything seems to good to be true…or worried deep down about Floor’s previous burn outs or the band histroy or what. I dunno.

But anyway, bugger to the drama, I’m happy as fuck and cannot wait for Showtime, Storytime and the prospect of a new album and Tuomas writing an album for Floor’s voice makes me want to run up the walls in excitement. She’s so versatile, and I hope that gets ‘showed off’ in the new album. Growls, epic GLS ending-style belting…the lot!
